We're watching Back to the Future, and I started re-enacting "McFry!!" From it, Gerard says "That's me!" (He likes to think he is the main boy character of any show or movie). I responded with, "That's right! And Aubrey iiis..." Thinking who she could be from the movie, she turns to me and say "Atom!" Which is from Yo Gabba Gabba's "Listening and dancing to music iiiiiis AWESOOOOOME!!!"
In other news, Egan cracked the code. "Dagoola" is "jiggawatt" from the movie. Remember when Doc hit his head on the toilet? Umm, Gerard related to that. He thought jiggawatt had something to do with hitting his head too.

Dagoola
At the playground today, I was alone with the 2 brats when I was minding Aubrey. Gerard was around somewhere, and then he came running to me crying. He had a bump on his head. Poor dear.
I asked him what happened, and he cried some.. and said something about a "dagoola" -- I had no idea what that was.
The bump remains big on his head, it looked really painful when I first saw it. The magic of the playground was at its peak when I said we'd have to go home. He stopped crying, left me and started running around again.
The rest of the day he kept talking about how he bumped his dagoola. Whatever it means to him.
It's a new song idea for mama and The Little Bits!

She still remembers her owie!
Back in January, I got a call while I was working offsite in Milpitas that my dad was taking Aubrey to the ER for an injury. She had caught her finger on an exercise bike and my parents couldn't tell how deep the cut was, so they figure for her safety, she better go to ER. I acknowledged this and called Egan right away to go meet them there. I didn't get to leave Milpitas at all until 5pm (I had to wait for my ride).
Well, her cut was a little deep but Egan wasn't happy with how the hospital handled it. In fact, neither am I. They made her wait until they could see her, on the basis that, there were patients who had more serious conditions. FINE -- understood. But what irked us the most was they wouldn't discharge her upon Egan's request, who felt that he could have just helped Aubrey himself.
She had to wear a bandage that we were replacing twice a day for a couple of weeks. I have a weak stomach, and couldn't bear to be the one to change her bandage. Egan MADE me do it one time because as a mother, I had to face it. I felt guilt over me that she even had this cut, and I had to suck my breath in during the process.
Now that Aubrey's finger is healed and sealed, she still remembers how she had a bandage on there. The cutiepie always asks for a "manaid" whenever she hears her brother asking for a bandaid over his owies. To amuse them, we just put a bandaid where they want it. I don't know why they like it so much, but they do. When asked where her owie is, Aubrey will present her finger that used to bear the cut. I'm amazed she even remembered it, and which finger it was.
If my last thoughts....
On my drive home today, I thought that I should put this on my blog.
Everyday, I think about my brats and how much I love them. It never gets old. Should the hour of my death arrive when I least expect it, I would want them to be in my dying thoughts. And I would want them to fill the love that is the last of my heart beat. That's why I think of them all the time. It doesn't matter what I'm doing -- I could be driving, in a meeting, eating, working, sleeping.... they have to be my mind and heart.
I'm not going to post my unofficial will here, but should I die tonight, I would hope for my friends reading this to grab the file on my work computer.
It's in the C drive/My Documents/rg/
The file is in Microsoft Word, I don't know the filename. But feel free to open the few Word files I have in that folder until you open it. You can't miss it... it's a basic will with easy language (i.e. no legal jargon). If Aubrey is not included in that will because I haven't updated it in a while, PLEASE TAKE THIS VERY BLOG ENTRY and show it to the court that SHE IS ENTITLED TO HALF OF EVERYTHING I am bequeathing to Gerard.
I have a password to my computer: you will have to check with the IT department because I have never changed it since I started working there. Also, the other person that has my password is Joseph Teopaco, as he sometimes uses my computer to print things. If neither of them can supply the password, it's my maiden initials and the numerical date of my hire (check with HR -- they HAVE to have that information).
Be well. Be kind. Love your people, always.

If only the whole world had this kind of love...
My weird kids are so loving lately.
Yesterday morning, I was forced to wake up, but couldn't get up easily because the brats were fighting over who gets to cuddle in my left arm (neither wanted to be in my right arm). It's really funny how they're fighting for my attention. Gerard has been randomly telling me, "I'm yours, mama." And when Aubrey sees him going up to sit on my lap, she'll go to us and say "mine!" Referring that I am hers.
I certainly feel loved, although, I suspect this is some sort of phase. But I'll take it!
Speaking of phases, Aubrey is in another strange phase. She has this obsession with a particular jacket. Even when it's warm in the house, she insists on wearing it. And she wants it buttoned. When the button gets undone, she cries about it.

Looking at a can of Rosarita refried beans, Gerard sees the woman in its logo and says: "It's Grandma!"
Me: I don't think so. She looks Mexican. Grandma is Filipino.
Gerard: No, grandma is downstairs.
(HAHA)

Why Mother's Day is everyday
Well, if the world really does end on May 21, I can say my life is complete.
While washing my daughter's poop-covered butt, some water splashed past my lips (into my semi-open mouth). This complements my son's vomit that went into my mouth one time, also when my mouth was semi-open.
