When things backfire

We're having a row about completing your homework while I work at home today.....and I noticed you're too tired, distracted, can't do it.... Naturally, I am upset you won't do homework but I tell you to lay down and rest.

Mom: Go take a nap because you're still a baby
Aubrey: Well you take a nap and you're not a baby

These are the moments I can't get enough of.

Incoming kindergartener, on her way!

Today (or maybe tomorrow), we will find out what school Aubrey had been assigned to for kindergarten.

I'm envisioning my life to be a little easier with both of the kids in the same school. Of course, what do I know.

They really are growing up too FAST.

These babies.... are still babies....that talk a lot, that know so much, and continue to drive me crazy.

This love that can't be undone

Dear children,

My love for you both can not subside, even if I tried (and I haven't).

You both make me upset everyday over the little things and I know I need to manage myself better. Even when I say what I don't mean to say I get out of hand but that has never impacted how I feel about you in my life.

Everyday when we part for school and work, I get sad knowing it will be hours until we unite again. But I always get so excited every single day coming home to my family. It is all I ever look forward to.

Nothing will ever change that.
