First grader!

This morning, there was a suggestion box in the schoolyard for students to drop their song suggestions for the upcoming family dance. I convinced Gerard his suggestion -- the Transformers theme song -- might get ignored. He then wrote, "Rock n Roll Radio by the Ramones." 

He would be elated if they really play it!

And what a start to first grade. He aced his first spelling test plus two bonus words!! 

Aubrey just schooled me about green being a secondsry color.

This weekend (Labor Day) was our first hosted sleepover with Spyder and Cricket. We spent Saturday evening with them at the Surf Spot in Pacifica, then a sleepover was planned that evening for the next day. You two were so excited about it.

Today is Monday, and this is you both at 5pm. Tired from a very fun, exciting weekend with your friends. 

We have been having a very blessed year.

I got my raise and a nice bonus, plus an ipad I was refusing to buy.

Gerard finished kindergarten with high grades. 

We got a new car to replace our very old one.

Gerard naturally lost two baby teeth over the summer.

Aubrey lost two baby teeth in an accident. 

At the last minute, Aubrey was accepted into transitional kindergarten at Noriega school nearby.

And then at another last minute made it into the after school care program, even though it costs more than your preschool tuition.

Papa got offered a permanent job.

Acquired replacement game boy ds lite and game gear.

We have been getting extra income from photography.

Count your blessings. 

After a whole summer of being on a waiting list, miss Aubrey is finally accepted into transitional kinder at our first choice of school....in the nick of time....any day later we find out, we'd be out of town and miss enrollment! First day is on Monday already!!

I love you aubrey for your honesty. As i left for work this morning i kissed you goodbye. You liked my shirt and asked if i was going to work in it. I said yes, "is it good for work?" You told me it looked like house clothes! 

Singing In Japanese?!

Dropped off the kids at grandma and grandpa's today. They told me how Aubrey was singing in Japanese the other day, so I asked her to sing it for me.

Being put in the spot, she got shy. I carried her, and she whispered the song to my ears. It was Let It Go, in "Japanese." Except it was just all made up. Hahahah. Funny girl. I love you.
