Gerard just woke up and told me about a nightmare that he woke up from. We were at  snowed beach and he was making snow angels. The snow melted and turned into the sea swallowing the land. We got on a boat and said goodbye to America. He didn't know where we were going and then he woke up.

He said this was the scariest dream he's ever had. 

Gerard breezed through kindergarten like a champ! Report card shows he's met and exceeded all standards for his grade, and his early literacy assessment is off the charts! Congrats, kid!! We treated you to Mel's tonight, and you wanted some other treats too but first you need to make space in your toy box. Your last day of kindergarten was also the day your first tooth got pulled. So many achievements!

Aubrey has started with youth ballet at the Y, and she's enjoying so much! You have such the spirit of a ballerina, and it makes my heart warm to watch you do something you enjoy. Unfortunately, you did not get into our school of choice for transitional kinder, so there's another year of preschool for you. No worries, girl. You will get to kindergarten and breeze through it just like Gerard!

We are so blessed with smart kids :)

Big brother Gerard

at branes and noble for the lego event 2 weekends ago, i was in a section reading some marketing books and the kids got separated from me. i thought they were in the toys section. i went looking for them.. and saw them walking around. gerard looked like he was about to cry.. but he was holding his sister's hand leading her around the storejust for that.. i gave him good points when we got home. we always tell him: if they ever get separated from their grown up, they should always stay together and he is never to leave aubrey behind. good job, big brother. <3

First Disney on Ice show today! Aubrey was more into it, and Gerard not so much.
It always makes me happy to see you so happy, my beautiful girl.
Though you had diarrhea since Friday, I insisted you come because tickets are non-refundable. You did well, my dear. You waited until we got to a toilet to go.

Today, you brought up (again and again) that you will marry her.
When I asked what if she doesn't want you to marry her?
You said: Then I'll live with her and follow her wherever she goes.
You continued with: We can cook for each other even if we're not married.

Bacon and cream cheese goodness

I found this recipe on Pinterest. Over the holidays, i had an urge for tomato eating and this recipe was so perfect. Everything i like: tomato, bacon, cream cheese and pepper. 

No calorie meal (also great as a snack!) and easy to make. However, since i do not like to cook much, i find it time consuming to prepare. But this is something i can do with enough time management!!
